About The Workshops

Tailored Tuition
As the saying goes, a picture paints a thousand words, and I’d like to think that perhaps my images can help you draw your own conclusions as to the level of skill and technical ability I have developed with my landscape photography. I’m also an award winning photographer both in the landscape and wildlife genres.

1-2-1 Tuition At Your Pace
Unlike group workshops where there is more than one client, you will have my undivided attention as you learn the art of planning, composition and post-processing.

All Skill Levels
Whether you’re just starting out or you’re a seasoned photographer perhaps looking for a refresher or a new approach to photography, my workshops cater for all abilities and skill levels. After all, everyone started somewhere, and I remember my first photography trip… It took me years to get to a level where I began entering competitions and winning awards. You can gain from the vast wealth of experience which comes with that, in turn fast-tracking your own path to success.

Outstanding Locations
Choose from a selection of outstanding locations throughout the UK - from workshops on the beautiful beaches of Norfolk to the rugged mountainous terrain of North Wales.

All Seasons
From the bluebells of spring to the snow-capped peaks of winter. There are landscape photography workshops available to book all year round.

Post Processing
Explore the basics of post processing and learn how to process your photographs to achieve professional results. After each workshop I’ll ask you to email me your photos and I’ll review them in my post-processing software - Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. You’ll receive a video back on suggested edits and techniques.

A Camera, Spare Battery and SD Cards
Having a camera is self explanatory, but bringing spare batteries and SD cards is definitely recommended.

Tripod
Although not mandatory, a tripod is recommended as landscape photography, especially for certain effects, can involve slow shutter speeds and careful composition.

Filters and Remote Shutter
Filters aren’t required but do please bring them along if you have them. A remote shutter if you have one, though also not mandatory.

Beverages and a Packed Lunch/Snacks
It’s important to be hydrated and have the right level of energy so bringing enough food and drink is advised.
Days may be hot, cold or somewhere in between. Perhaps a hot flask for a cold day and plenty of water for a hot day etc.

Suitable outdoor clothing
The weather can change dramatically in the UK and is often cooler the higher you ascend so it’s a good idea to pack appropriately for the day.

Suitable footwear
Much of the terrain at landscape photography locations can be uneven so good sturdy walking boots are recommended.
